COVID-19 Check In

I hope everyone is staying healthy and staying home right now. My thoughts are with you all as our lives have been completely turned upside down. I know this is difficult, but this too shall pass.

I am sure you have read tons of info online about how to protect yourself and your family during this difficult time, and I wanted to chime in and share my thoughts.

Wash your hands. Everyone should have been doing this prior to this pandemic…but it seems like some people are only getting the memo now - if you were one of the people not washing your hands before, gross.

Stay 6 feet away from people. If you are already quarantined with a spouse or kids, six feet distance is pretty impossible. My family and I are trying to practice this when we walk our dog and any necessary trips outside the house.

If you have to leave the house bring hand sanitizer with you. Part of my business has always been visiting my clients in their homes or community gyms, so hand sanitizer has been part of my routine for years now.

Boost your immune system. No need to give in and eat a ton of non-perishable junk right now, you are only compromising yourself. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables daily, strawberries are packed with immune boosting Vitamin C.

My family and I are continuing our daily routine of multivitamins, probiotics, and other supplementation. Due to the COVID-19 we have added in elderberry, oil of oregano, vitamin C, and have colloidal silver and host defense mushrooms on hand in case we get sick. I always recommend talking with your naturopath or doctor before beginning any new medications or supplements, as some may interact with your existing medications.

In our society we tend to be very fast paced, and on the go all the time. Use this time to quiet the mind, relax the pace of your day, and really tune in to what you need.
