Manifest your dreams in 2022

I am a firm believer in manifesting what you want. I believe we have the ability to manifest our goals and our dream lives.

For me this has always proven to be way more successful than setting New Year’s resolution…which let’s be honest typically get broken by February.

Manifesting your dreams has really changed my life, and opened me up to an entirely new way of being…so much so that I need to share it with all of you!

In January I will be hosting a Manifest your dreams workshop!

This virtual event will consist of 3 main parts:

  • manifesting guided meditation

  • learn how to manifest your goals and your dream life

  • create a vision board for 2022 with all of your hopes and dreams

This workshop was originally just for Wellness Bestie members, but it is going to be so powerful that I decided to open it up to all of you!

The event will take place virtually on January 11 (1/11…my spirit number, I had to) at 6:00pm EST.

Space is limited for this event, so make sure you register early.

Cost is $45/pp, and will include information and resources you can utilize all year long!

For more information and to sign up email me at jennifer@leanandgreenbody.com

Can’t wait to see you on 1/11!

Intentions over Resolutions

According to the New York Post many people forgo their New Year’s resolutions by January 12th!?! That’s insane.

So this year instead of setting New Year’s resolutions that will ultimately fall off our to-do list I would encourage you all to set intentions for the New Year.

This is what I have chosen to do this year…and I am loving it!

Resolutions put so much pressure on the individual. All of the sudden on January 1 everything has to change and everyone has to become “perfect”. Its unrealistic…and clearly these resolutions do not stick.

So instead of setting unrealistic resolutions this year, I am setting intentions for how I want to be this year. I am being mindful about how I want to see my year. What behaviors, actions, or traits would I like to expand upon? Where would I like to see growth?

I find that so many people go overboard with resolutions and goals in January - and then ultimately forget them or fall off the wagon…and think it’s over. It’s not! You can start over again anytime you wish.

One of my favorite quotes is:

“each day is a new day, what we do today is what matters most.” - Buddha

Each day we get to decide who we want to be in every moment.

So I would encourage you to put pen to paper and journal about some intentions for your year. What would you like to see?

One of my intentions for the New Year is to be happy every day - maybe not all day everyday - but every day I am going to be happy and find the positive.

This of course comes off a crazy year that has shown me how precious each day really is.

If you would like to share some of your intentions below, I’d love to read them!!

6 Ways to Wind Down Without Wine

6 Ways to Wind Down Without Wine | Lean and Green Body Blog

Many of us get into the habit of having a glass of wine in the evening to help us relax. The holidays are no help with this - and often lead to more than one glass. Now that 2018 is here and the New Year’s resolutions and promises are in full swing, it’s time we switch up our evening routine.

Wine can be comforting in the evenings, but are there perhaps healthier ways for us to wind down and relax?

1. Meditate.

Coming home to breathe and meditate, even if it’s only 5 minutes, can help you to relax and let go of your day. It can sometimes be difficult to make the transition from the day to day hustle to family and home life; this is where meditation steps in. Meditation can help you breathe through your day, take it all in, and exhale and let it all go.

2. Take a bath.

Taking a warm bath, especially with lavender epsom salts, can help you unwind and relax from a long day. The epsom salts will help to alleviate sore muscles, aches, pain, and the lavender will help to calm your mind.

3. Read.

Sometimes picking up a good book at the end of the day and “escaping” can be exactly what you need. There are so many options depending upon your mood and the day. Perhaps you are looking for something motivating, inspiring or maybe you just want to escape and dive into the lives of the characters on the pages.

4. Go for a walk.

Get outside, and breathe in the fresh air. Many of us are trapped inside offices all day, and this is your time to get a bit of exercise and enjoy nature. Clear your mind, let go of your day, and just walk. Perhaps you take your partner or dog with you, or maybe you take this time for just you.

5. Journal.

Come home and write down your thoughts about the day, your hopes and dreams for tomorrow. Perhaps reviewing a to-do/to-be list and creating new objectives for tomorrow.

6.  Spend time with loved ones.

Presence is a gift, for ourselves and others.

How do you choose to wind down at the end of the day?
