Summer is officially here! The kids are out of school and you are likely taking a summer vacation soon. This is an easy time for our daily routines, meal plans and diets to go out the window.
Here are a few simple ways to stay on track this summer!
- Stick to your morning routine.
- Start your day off right with a healthy breakfast. Make a smoothie or a breakfast bowl including protein, fat, fiber and greens. This is a great way to fuel your body first thing in the morning. Research shows that when you eat a healthy breakfast and start your day right, you are likely to make healthier choices throughout the day.
- As the day goes on, and lunch and dinner approach, consider fueling your body. What options are going to provide your body with the fuel it needs to get through the rest of the day?
- 80/20 Rule. If 80% of your diet is perfect for YOU, then you have 20% to play with.
- Move your body everyday.
